Day 117 - Uni and Sunset in Perth

Our Bed & Breakfast was comfortable as we had an entire house for ourselves. The downside was that, because the owner was living in another house, it was "Bed" only and we had to take care of the breakfast ourselves.

We had a quite expensive but nice breakfast on the university campus. The way to get there is way easier and shorter than in Singapore. While my father had a talk and a meeting, I had to finalize all the posts from our Outback trip.

In the late afternoon, we drove with our rental car to Kings Park in Perth to watch the sunset and the city lights. It was the last chance to see this because we had missed it (mostly due to bad weather) in our Fremantle time and had a dinner invitation for our last night. As it was Australia’s (war victims) Remembrance Day, there were many Australian flags installed on tree’s name boards. A lot of wreaths of flowers were presented at the Memorial Hill monument – which is also the best place to watch the sunset and the city lights. We also saw some war veterans - How sad when you think they came to mourn probably lost friends and that they experienced the same pain, only survived.

P.S. Why there's not a single picture? Look up Day 118...
